Job requirements include directing all advertising and sales promotions. Directing marketing and sales planning, including an analysis of competitive products/services. Develops and implements strategy for best serving/acquiring SEGs. Develops, proposes, gains acceptance for, and implements strategic plans designed to meet the credit union's short- and long-term marketing objectives. Conducts market research and recommends product/service modifications or improvements. Coordinates special events; monitors planning, schedules and implementation as required for proper execution of each event. Initiates staff training programs in member relations and selling techniques. Provide direction and recommendations to management, based on research data regarding marketing strategies.     Description: Job Title: Governmental Affairs Intern Organization Name: Oklahoma Credit Union League Job Description: The Oklahoma Credit Union League seeks a Political Science/Governmental Affairs Intern to assist in the Credit Union Advocacy & Governmental Affairs Department. The intern will be paid $7.00 per hour and may receive course credit. Work Hours: Flexible, up to 30 hours per week. This internship could possibly last up to 5 months or longer. Preference will be to begin internship in January 2008. Internship hours are during regular working hours, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. There is a possibility of some evening hours. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting the EVP of Credit Union Advocacy with the following functions: • Assist with aspects of the Oklahoma Credit Union PACs fundraising efforts. • Assist with grassroots initiatives. Assist in developing strategy for grassroots involvement of credit unions at the state and federal level. • Facilitate participation of individual credit unions and chapters in Oklahoma grassroots initiatives, including campaign activities to elect credit union friendly candidates. • Assist with political events/meetings organized and sponsored by Oklahoma, such as, Hike the Hill trips, CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference activities, State Capital Connections functions, and governmental affairs portion of Oklahoma Credit Union League’s Annual meeting. Assist credit unions with in-branch legislator visits and chapter functions as needed. Deadline: Open until position filled.
